Bookstores

I went to Borders and was quite bothered cos I can’t find a book after 20 minutes of searching. I finally concluded that Borders doesn’t carry it.
In order not to waste my trip down, I proceeded to Kinokuniya. And within just 5 minutes, I found the book!! Simply love how they organised their books.
I would strongly recommend a Kino over Borders.

New hobby
February 2, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Recently, there is this Hong Kong drama serial about a family whose father loves to read. He would always share his love of reading with his family and friends and the story behind each book he read. This show brought back memories of my secondary school time when we were encouraged to read as many books as we can in a month. Me and my best friend always came in either first or second cos we read really fast.
Recently, I felt that my life has come to a standstill so I really need a new hobby to keep it going. Under the influence of the show, I decide to pick up READING again. For a start, my dear friend, Desiree has recommended me a book titled ”Chronicling Nadal/Federer rivalry up to Wimbledon finals 2008“. I hope that I can get hold of this book to kick start my rekindled hobby and also for my collection of books! My newly set goal is to finish at least one book for each month starting from February. Wish me luck!

Bike stolen rate
January 31, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Al mentioned to me before that Singapore has one of the highest bike stolen rate. I did not really believe him then but now that I am more exposed to bike related news (read this), I soon realised that what he told me is quite true. Its absurd, how Singapore, well know for its safety and cleanliness can have such high bike stolen crimes. I wonder how Singaporean or people living in Singapore would want to do that, for the money they can fetch from the stolen parts from the bike?? or they just get a kick out of stealing bike??
We should learn from the Japanese. The Japanese, especially those living in Tokyo can just leave their bikes without even locking them and they can still come back and found them still there. I think its the culture and how they were being educated. Maybe the Singapore police force should have a dedicated group of officers to start thinking of how to go about reducing the bike stolen rate. So I can bring my little cute bike out without worrying that it will get stolen if I take my eyes off it.
Good luck to all cyclists in Singapore.

Give away

I have this bad habit of buying things especially clothes and giving them away when I realized that they are too tight for my liking.
And who will be the one who will benefit?? It would be my dear friend, Ee Shih cos she is one of the few who is thinner than me. Look at how this top fits her to a T.
