Day out with Al

January 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Woke up today feeling great. Breakfast was in bed with my usual cafe 21 and biscuits. And of cos LIVE Australian Open!

Our date with Joanne (Salon Esprit at Vivo) was at 11am. I only wanted to have a haircut but ended up with the haircut and an expensive hair treatment. My date with Joanne ended in 2 hours with a backache. But the result was great. My hair looks softer (for now) and shorter (of cos). MIL had good comments on Al’s haircut. She said its the most decent one he ever had (cos its finally without the tail). Haha..

After the haircut, we went to Carl’s Junior. I had a Mushroom Cheeseburger and Al had Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger combo meal (which comes with fries and coke to share). I can’t describe how good my burger taste but its really juicy and cheesy!

After that we went to Tangs Studio (I have previously redeemed a $20 Tangs voucher from UOB) to buy a MAC two way cake and a eyebrow pencil (inspired by Siok Leng). After that, we both agreed that we should not stay any longer (else more money will be spent), so we quickly redeem some parking points (cap at $250 now) from our damage for the day.

Went home at 4pm. Decided to clean my VERY dusty room, living room, kitchen.. Cleared the stack of letters/documents/magazines, filed away some and threw away some which I really dun understand why I am still keeping them. Fingers felt sore and dry with all the washing and wiping. No wonder my mum’s hands are so rough :(

Now, I understand why she keeps telling me how tough it is to be a housewife. I only did the chores for a day and is already complaining. Thanks mum. You have suffered alot for us..

Chinese new year

January 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Chinese New Year is just round the corner. This year, as compared to previous year is a lot more quiet. Its the economy’s fault. Who would have known that there will be a financial crisis after such a good year before this. I am considered lucky already. I don’t invest heavily in shares nor properties, just some frequent 4D and toto and weekly mahjong. So I am not so affected by the CRISIS except for THE CUT. haha..

Anyway, this year’s new year is quite boring except for the ‘tong xiao’ mahjong sessions at Lily’s place next tuesday; Weilun come back this weekend; new haircut I am going to have tomorrow; of cos hong baos from my parents; the new clothes I bought for the new year; and of cos giving out hong baos (like real)…

Hope you have a more exciting new year than me..
