Welcoming November with big arms and then it will be December! I am SO looking forward to December.
December = birthdays (including mine, mama, nana, Debbie), going for a play “broadway beng”, trip to bangkok, invitation to a one-year wedding anniversary at Fullerton hotel, then it will be Christmas and gift exchange and last but not least going on a cruise with hubby and mother in law..

Really looking forward to a long break from the year of hardwork.

Today we went to Park Hotel for the yearly promotion treat. It was a new hotel with promotional seafood buffet menu. So here we are.

while waiting for the rest to come, we took some photos....
In the midst of feasting, there were comments from the tables that the variety of food seem to differ quite a bit from the menu. The “Meat carving”, “Brizo Catch”, Japanese selection with only Salmon excluding sushi, tuna, king fish etc etc.., durian pengat, burbo cha cha, waffles, dark and white fondue were all missing. So Grace and I feedback our unhappiness to the restaurant manager and hope that he can do something about it. After much debate, he finally gave us the discount that we demanded. Make a guess on how much is the discount..
While I was making the payment, the cashier made a comment. He should work in our company as we people really know how to get a solid discount. i thought it was quite funny..

nice colleagues who came from across the border..

admin colleagues..

black pepper crab... this is the only photo of the food that I took... after this I was busy with the restaurant manager for the discount...

Tomorrow is Mothers’ Day but we had an early celebration for Al’s mother and his god mother. We went to Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant at River Valley as soon as Al was back from his tennis lesson. Reached there around 1130am.
Since it was still early, there were still empty tables in the restaurant. Once the clock striked 12pm, the crowds started coming in and by the time we left the restaurant it was packed with people. Thanks to Al for his quick thinking (If we had went later than 12pm, we might not be able to get a table without making reservations).

We were at Lily’s place yesterday at 7pm. Nowadays, if we go to her place at the peak hours, we will have to spend some time to find a parking lot. The carpark is often full and the nearest place is a 10-15 minutes walk out to the HDB parking. Lily said that the carpark lots are already not enough for the residents. Some residents even own more than 1 car (they are one of the culprits). So yesterday being Christmas eve makes it even tougher to find a parking lot. Alvin waited for half an hour and in the end he has to park at the HDB carpark. Luckily, Fooster was there to share the same misfortune.
Else he will C and S. Hahah.
We celebrated Christmas by having packet chicken/duck/char siew rice, 3 rounds of Mahjong, eating donuts, logcake and drinking sparkling wine, wooing and wowing at Wei’s party dress (6 ways of wearing it and how much the dress costs), watched the video of Wei and Zull’s wedding which draw a lots of laughters. The party finally ended at 4am and we managed to find our way to bed at 5am.
Merry Christmas everyone and a very good morning to you all

Michelle, my buddy cum boss’ secretary is an expert when it comes to food, partehs, gifts. So when its time for some major celebrations for our department, Michelle would be the ONE organising. And of course as her buddy, I would do my part by giving her my two cents worth. Hence, for this year post peak cum Christmas cum November cum December babies partehs, she was given the sacred task.
We will be going to the Singapore Flyer (SF) followed by dinner at Seafood Paradise (SP) tomorrow. Well done again Michelle!
