Embarrassing moments

Moment #1

On my way to the office this morning, I saw an unused panty liner on the floor. Goodness me. I felt for her whoever she is. It must be real embarrassing when she dropped it but maybe she dint realised it which is good for her. I remembered I had one of this in my pocket and I totally forgot about it. And when I try to take out some cash from my pocket, out came the panty liner instead. Find me a hole please.

Moment #2

I received an email from a friend stating how much the dinner cost last friday. I was under the impression that this friend was going to pay for the dinner since it was a surprise birthday dinner for his business partner and we were being invited. The dinner was scheduled at 7 pm. By the time we reached there (at 830 pm), the guys were almost done. So we just ordered a cold soba and a rice ball to share and finished the left overs. 

So when our friend told us about our share of the dinner, I was quite surprised and more upset when I realised that it has cost us nearly $90 for the 2 items that we ordered. So I decided to write to our friend to inform about the slightly unfair basis of sharing since we dint drink and only ordered that much of food. Being a straightforward person, I decided to ask small Lin to vet my email so that I wont sound too blunt.

Guess what…

I sent out the email without realising that my conversation with small Lin is still in there.

We had lunch at MOS burger. Went back to office and the MOS burger smell still lingered in my hair and my clothes. So I sprayed my favorite fragrance. While doing so, I heard someone shouted “Carol, did you shave your armpit?” (I was wearing a sleeveless top)” It was Ms Gan. Aiyo, so ‘malu’. But I shouted back, Yes I did! Want to check?”

Yesterday when we were almost at the end of the mahjong game, Al and Megan started singing and dancing with the toy guitar and tambourine.

Al was playing the guitar and Megan was dancing along with his singing. Obviously, the 2 enjoyed themselves. I did too. (I took video but have no freaking clue how to convert the files!)

Who is blur?

Al was off last Saturday and we wanted to redeem the zara voucher so we went to Orchard. Since I have a restaurant promotion voucher, I decided to use it for lunch at Big O. As we ordered, I took out the voucher and asked the waiter if I can still use it as there is no expiry date stated. The waiter took a (few seconds) look at it and went off to check with his manager. He came back and said “Miss, I think you can still use the voucher but it not this restaurant. Its the one at Pacific Plaza.” 

Al : *LAUGH*

Project Friday II

There were 7 of us. Nana and Niu Niu’s appointment is at Pacific Plaza. So we decided on Lido to watch Slumdog Millionaire. We bought the tickets for 5 (got 2 for free as ABN Amro bank got special promotion) for the show at 1630.

Slumdog Millionaire, the only thing I know about this show is that it has won some awards and the actors are all INDIANS and its a comedy. Well, at the start of the show, Niu Niu is already making a lot of ‘eeeees’, ‘aiyehs’, ‘aiyos’ etc etc noises beside me. At 1/4 of the show, she said she cannot take it and walked out. So only the 6 of us continued with it. Basically, Niu Niu dislikes show with any cruelty content, which I think most of us have seen worst compared to Slumdog Millionaire. Haha.. Anyway, I do not wish to go into details to the show. The main attention is on Niu Niu.

Show ended at 183o. We found Niu Niu sitting outside along the cinema reading 8 days (magazine). Then she started asking us how was the show? the ending? Nana seems to be the only one giving her the details. So she targeted at her. When we were about to go our own way, she started crying (at the entrance of Lido) thinking of those poor kids living in the slum. Hahhahha, I finally found a match to the throne of being a cry baby.
